Sun Darkening in Amos 8

Daniel Matson just did a new article connecting Amos 8 with Rev 12.  In Amos we learn that the Sun will go dark in broad daylight in late summer.... was this in the past, or could this be related to Revelation 12, allowing the whole world to see the fulfillment of the sign?  Daniel lay's out a very amazing potential scenario here:

If the sun has to be darkened in broad daylight at the start of the judgment, it is hard to see it not coinciding with the Revelation 12 Sign. A sign viewed on an astronomy program is helpful, but if the whole world is confronted with it the way it was meant to be, that is quite another thing. That is great. That is astounding.

Colossians 3:2-4

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Philippians 3:20-21

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
